Doctors Day Celebration at GCON
Gautam College of Nursing (GCON) observed National Doctors Day on 1st July with a special programme on campus to honour the selfless service and commitment of doctors across the country.
National Doctors Day is celebrated in India on 1st July in memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a legendary physician and statesman. At GCON, this day holds special significance as our nursing students train to work hand-in-hand with doctors in hospitals and community healthcare settings.
Highlights of the programme:
- Tribute ceremony to acknowledge the contribution of doctors in healthcare
- Awareness talk on the vital role of doctors in rural and community health, especially in Chhattisgarh
- Interactive session on doctor–nurse collaboration in patient care
- Students shared reflections on how nursing and medical professionals together serve society
The celebration reinforced GCON’s mission to develop compassionate, skilled nursing professionals who respect and support the medical fraternity. Our faculty reminded students that nursing is a partnership with doctors — built on trust, communication, and shared commitment to healing.
